Udhauli Sewa is a sacred religious and cultural event organized by Druk Kirat Chhoetshog to celebrate the Kirat festival of Udhauli, a time of thanksgiving, ancestral remembrance, and harmony with nature. The event is observed according to the sacred teachings of Mundhum and reflects the Kirat tradition of offering gratitude for a successful harvest and seeking blessings for peace, prosperity, and well-being.
During the program, devotees and community members gather to perform traditional Sewa rituals, prayers, cultural dances, and ceremonial offerings while honoring ancestors and preserving the spiritual and cultural identity of the Kirat people. The occasion also strengthens unity, intergenerational connection, and community harmony among Kirat families in Bhutan.
